    Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for a large valve manufacturing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This role requires working nine-hour shifts starting at either 1:30 pm or 2:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime on Saturdays. The position offers competitive pay based on experience, ranging from $20 to $40 per hour, and is open to entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, operate, and adjust program offsets on CNC multi-task horizontal machining centers according to engineering specifications, production drawings, and verbal instructions.

    + Ensure work in process adheres to quality and production standards.

    + Change machine settings for various production runs as required.

    + Obtain and return necessary work supplies from the tool crib.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure equipment is in good operating condition.

    + Utilize hand tools as needed.

    + Complete accurate production and work records.

    + Deburr parts to complete production work when necessary.

    + Operate jib crane and bridge crane for loading and unloading parts.

    + Familiarize and properly use hitching and rigging equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with CNC machining, including mill or lathe operation.

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Strong inspection and quality assurance skills.

    + Ability to operate and adjust CNC equipment control settings.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-3 years of recent experience or training in machining, preferably with CNC multi-task vertical machining centers.

    + Considerable knowledge of methods and techniques for operating CNC machinery and related hand tools.

    + Knowledge of safe equipment operating procedures and work practices.

    + Familiarity with proper fluid levels and coolant recovery procedures.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
