    Job Title: Machine Operator 1st shift $14 an hour

    Job Description

    Join a family-owned company in Montoursville, PA, specializing in manufacturing lift chairs for the elderly. The role involves assembly work and operating machines such as drilling machines and routers. You will be responsible for pushing 4x8 sheets of plywood through machines for cutting, as well as using basic hand and power tools. This position is repetitive, and comprehensive training is provided. Flexibility to cross-train and the ability to stand for 8 hours a day is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble lift chairs with precision and attention to detail.

    + Operate drilling machines and routers effectively.

    + Push 4x8 sheets of plywood through cutting machines.

    + Utilize basic hand and power tools for various tasks.

    + Cross-train in different areas of production as needed.

    + Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule.

    + Stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production and machine operation.

    + Proficiency in assembly work.

    + Familiarity with operating saws and other machinery.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to learn and adapt to different roles within the production process.

    + Reliable and punctual work habits.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility does not have air conditioning, making it warm during the summer months. This is a small shop environment where casual, comfortable attire is suitable for the work conditions.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montoursville, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr.
