Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, installing, and commissioning machines for our customers, as well as servicing our current machines in the field.
Responsibilities
+ Travel to customer sites to provide service and support.
+ Troubleshoot primarily Allen Bradley PLCs and some Siemens PLCs and drives.
+ Install and commission automation machinery into mills.
+ Participate in training to enhance programming skills.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, PLC troubleshooting, and commissioning.
+ Ability to read electrical schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting.
+ Experience with servomotors and servo drives installation.
+ Familiarity with HMI and AC/DC motors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar field) with 2-3 years of field experience OR an Associate's Degree in Electrical (or similar field) with 5 years of field experience.
+ Experience with Siemens or ABB drives.
+ Background in the metal, steel, or aluminum industry is a plus.
Work Environment
This role requires approximately 75% travel, primarily to the eastern United States, including locations like Pittsburgh, Indiana, Cleveland, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, Mississippi, and Texas. Engineers may be on-site for up to a month, followed by a couple of weeks off. The company offers the option to use a company vehicle or receive mileage reimbursement at $0.56 per mile, along with a per diem of $55 per day. The position is based in Cleveland when not traveling, and remote work is not feasible due to the need for on-site presence.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Willoughby, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.08/hr.
