Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor for our 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) to oversee operations, ensure safety compliance, maintain quality standards, and manage personnel effectively in our food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Enforce safety policies including the use of PPE and communicate safety awareness to all employees.
+ Ensure safe working conditions and propose ideas to improve safety within the plant.
+ Conduct appropriate safety trainings and ensure timely incident reporting.
+ Participate in safety audits and follow-up on findings.
+ Communicate and enforce quality policies, GMP compliance, and food safety standards.
+ Maintain sanitation and housekeeping standards and ensure processing equipment is properly sanitized.
+ Ensure adherence to production schedules and manage daily operations to meet targets.
+ Maintain shop floor presence to address issues and monitor production efficiency.
+ Recruit, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring effective deployment and compliance with HR policies.
+ Continuously improve performance based on key performance indicators and reduce unnecessary downtimes.
+ Oversee the implementation of environmental programs and reduce production waste.
Essential Skills
+ 5-7 years of supervision/management experience in a food manufacturing setting.
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
+ English language proficiency.
+ Supervisory skills including problem solving, coaching, and effective operation management.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
+ Leadership and outstanding communication skills.
+ Computer literacy.
+ Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Ability to operate in a team environment.
+ Adaptability to a changing work environment.
+ Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work up to a 12-hour shift.
+ Experience in a high-noise, machinery, and chemical environment.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures, including hot rooms due to ovens and cold rooms for ice cream. The position operates on the 2nd Shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, in areas with high noise, machinery, and chemicals present.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
