Job Title: Chemical Process Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Operator to oversee the efficient operation of High Temperature Vacuum CVD Reactors. This position is available for the second or third shift, with attractive shift premiums. As a Chemical Process Operator, you will be a key player in ensuring the safety and productivity of our chemical manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
+ Follow established safety practices and assist in developing new operating instructions and safe practices.
+ Collaborate with the team to prepare reactors, including cleaning, loading/unloading, troubleshooting, and developing fixtures.
+ Prepare products by cleaning, honing, and conducting visual inspections.
+ Handle hazardous chemicals while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Monitor processes, record process parameters, note issues, and define corrective measures when necessary.
+ Work with the team to define and develop operating parameters based on product type and configuration.
+ Participate in improvement projects related to process, quality, and safety.
+ Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas.
+ Operate lift trucks and perform general maintenance on equipment, including minor electrical, computer interface, and mechanical tasks.
+ Engage in data acquisition and data entry tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in chemical machine operation, including loading machines and process monitoring.
+ Proficiency with forklift operation.
+ Experience as a Chemical Operator or Process Technician.
+ Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing.
+ Experience in mixing, compounding, and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma with 2-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
+ Chemical Process Tech Degree or Certification is acceptable in place of experience.
+ Physical ability to lift above head, bend, and climb stairs or ladders.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of three shifts: 1st (6 am - 2 pm), 2nd (2 pm - 10 pm), and 3rd (10 pm - 6 am). Pay is based on experience, and there are additional shift premiums for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The company operates in the automotive and aerospace sectors, specializing in precision machining. Employees will encounter cutting-edge technology and have the opportunity to engage with unique reactors and processes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bay City, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.
