**Location:** Richmond, Virginia

**Job Type:** Contract to Hire

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Weekend flexibility required)

• About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable **Floor Care Technician** to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces using specialized techniques and industrial equipment. From hard-surface restoration to carpet and upholstery care, your expertise will help ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

• Key Responsibilities

+ Apply proper procedures for hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, and spray cleaning

+ Operate industrial floor care equipment and automated cleaning systems for large surface areas

+ Perform carpet and upholstery maintenance: shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming

+ Conduct restorative treatments for all types of flooring

+ Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment properly

+ Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

• Essential Skills & Experience

+ Solid understanding of floor care techniques and equipment

+ Experience with waxing, buffing, scrubbing, polishing, and burnishing tools

+ Familiarity with janitorial, custodial, and housekeeping practices

+ Ability to consistently follow safety procedures

+ Prior experience in a floor care or related role preferred

+ Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
