Job Description
Perform maintenance operations on aircraft, aircraft equipment, engines, components, and systems in accordance with directives in support of aircraft modification. Engage in Airframe & Powerplant repairs, including potential Fuel Cell work.
Responsibilities
+ Remove and install flight control systems and perform rigging.
+ Conduct CDI or CDQAR inspections, removals, installations, and functional checks.
+ Operate as Turn Qualified – High / Low.
+ Remove and install hydraulic components.
+ Participate in depot disassembly and rebuilds.
+ Utilize ground support equipment.
+ Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, and technical manuals.
+ Utilize pneumatic tools and torque wrenches.
+ Use common hand tools such as wrenches and safety wire pliers.
+ Remove and replace panels, floorboards, and sealing compounds.
+ Handle large aircraft components including airframe and powerplant.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervision.
+ Document maintenance and repair actions accurately.
+ Perform duties while wearing required safety equipment.
+ Comply with health and safety regulations, tool control, and other pertinent rules.
+ Order parts, pan stock, tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
+ Perform additional duties as directed for the benefit of the company, program, or employees.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in aircraft maintenance at depot level, repair, and overhaul.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
+ Experience with pneumatic tools and torque wrenches.
+ Skilled in using common hand tools.
+ Familiarity with large aircraft and components.
+ Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
+ Ability to document maintenance actions clearly.
+ Capacity to work shifts without weather or location constraints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A&P certification is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a military hangar with an open-bay, non-climate-controlled environment. Must be open to working any shift, with available shifts including 1st shift (M-F 5:30am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (M-F 2pm-10:30pm). Employees can expense $100 per year for Steel Toed Shoes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
