    Job Title: Principal Engineer – Nuclear Tooling & Automation

     

    Employment Type: Direct Hire

     

    Salary Range: $110,000 – $140,000 annually

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to lead the formation of a new engineering team focused on nuclear automation and tooling at our client’s facility in Lewis Center, Ohio. This role is pivotal in driving innovative engineering solutions for nuclear projects including new builds, maintenance, and decommissioning.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the design and development of automated tooling systems for nuclear applications.

    + Architect solutions for reactor construction, maintenance, and decommissioning (including small modular reactors and large-scale reactors).

    + Establish and maintain nuclear equipment quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    + Collaborate with global teams to integrate best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 10+ years of experience in automated tooling design within the nuclear industry.

    + Deep understanding of nuclear tooling engineering principles and equipment quality standards.

    + Proven experience designing tooling for nuclear reactor lifecycle (build, maintain, decommission).

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with robotics and industrial automation in nuclear environments.

    + Familiarity with ASME, NRC, and DOE standards.

    + Prior experience in setting up new engineering teams or departments.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
