Job Title: Controls Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our expanding team within the Electric Vehicle (xEV) Business Unit. Our mission is to develop advanced sustainable technologies for mobility, contributing to a safe, sustainable, and comfortable mobility life. Our expertise includes inverters, motors, battery management systems, and e-axles, which are offered as standalone components or integrated systems for the EV powertrain. As part of our growth strategy, we are adding this position to support the increased demand for inverter modules at our Greenfield facility.
Responsibilities
+ Support safe launch of IPM products and processes.
+ Support development of technology, resource, and production requirements.
+ Support new IPM business opportunities.
+ Resolve production process or equipment issues and develop solutions.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support corporate objectives.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in controls engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming & robot programming, specifically Keyence PLCs and Motoman, Fanuc robots.
+ Willingness to travel to Japan for equipment qualifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience within the automotive or related industry with a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical processes.
+ Knowledge of EV components and processes, specifically inverters and power modules.
+ Advanced engineering skills in conveyance equipment, product handling, fixturing, fastening, and interfacing/programming.
+ Experience in designing, testing, and validating production traceability systems and safety systems.
+ Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
+ Experience in electronics manufacturing and IPC regulations.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
+ Excellent communication skills for presenting information to various stakeholders.
+ Ability to lead and mentor other engineers or team members.
Work Environment
Our work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and growth opportunities. As a Tier 1 automotive supplier, we provide parts and systems directly to major OEMs. This position will involve working on the manufacturing floor, in an office environment, and attending both in-person and virtual meetings. Travel to Japan will be required four times between 2025 and 2026 for equipment installation and integration at our Greenfield, IN facility. This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Company benefits will be provided upon acceptance.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Greenfield,IN.
