Geotechnical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to uphold consistent quality standards in project and proposal delivery. As a fully competent engineering professional, you will manage detailed phases of moderately sized and complex projects, independently performing a variety of tasks or selected segments of larger projects.
Responsibilities
+ Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
+ Work closely with senior -level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects.
+ Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations, adaptations, and modifications.
+ Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
+ Perform quality control review of proposals written by others.
+ Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
+ Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.
+ Interact directly with clients and project teams to develop scopes of services, communicate project progress, and provide findings and recommendations.
+ Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
+ Participate in marketing, sales, and business development activities.
+ Supervise graduate, field, and project engineering staff.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Geotechnical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
+ Experience with geotechnical project management (Geotechnical PM).
+ Knowledge of DOT regulations and standards.
+ Experience in transportation, civil, concrete, and roadway projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ 0 - 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.88 - $33.65/hr.
