Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

This role is for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer located in Tallapoosa, GA, focusing on the automotive industry. The individual will be responsible for identifying quality issues, establishing containment, and developing and implementing countermeasures swiftly to ensure optimal vehicle quality for customers. Coordination with the Quality Team Manager is essential for conducting data analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for quality concerns.

Responsibilities

+ Identify and address quality issues promptly.

+ Establish containment measures and develop countermeasures.

+ Conduct data analysis and root cause analysis.

+ Implement corrective actions for quality concerns.

+ Coordinate with the Quality Team Manager.

+ Engage in PPAP and PFMEA processes.

+ Handle supplier quality interactions and understand supplier roles.

Essential Skills

+ Root cause analysis

+ PPAP and PFMEA expertise

+ Data analysis and trending

+ Experience in manufacturing engineering and quality engineering

+ 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment for degree holders

+ 6-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment for non-degree holders

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in automotive, refinery, or aerospace environments

+ Familiarity with copper wire manufacturing

+ Knowledge of ISO 9000 and quality management systems

+ Proficiency in SolidWorks, Excel, PowerPoint, and CATIA

+ Audit and internal audit experience

+ Strong team-building and communication skills

+ Ability to set priorities and understand internal customer needs

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional OT and alternating Saturdays. The position involves working in a clean room environment before accessing the manufacturing floor. The company provides safety glasses, a hard hat, and a locker, along with a few shirts and pants. Candidates must provide and wear steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallapoosa, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
