Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the efficient operation and repair of various equipment. This includes electrical, hydraulic, and welding equipment, as well as compressors, cranes, forklifts, and trucks. Your role will be vital in maintaining equipment in safe working conditions through both preventative and corrective maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate and perform repairs on a wide range of equipment, including electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel machinery.

+ Ensure all equipment is maintained to safe and operational standards through regular preventative and corrective maintenance.

+ Troubleshoot and repair 3 phase motors and perform electrical installations with voltages up to 480V.

+ Diagnose and resolve electrical and wiring faults, ensuring adherence to safety procedures such as lock out/tag out.

+ Conduct preventative maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as on equipment like forklifts, cranes, and trucks.

+ Follow all OSHA safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance.

+ Proficiency in heavy equipment maintenance, including forklifts and cranes.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems up to 480V.

+ Familiarity with lock out/tag out procedures and OSHA safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working in an outdoor industrial environment.

+ Welding and diesel maintenance experience is a plus.

+ Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and DC motors is advantageous.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial fabrication shop, which can be hot, dirty, and dusty. The facility is open-air with 2-5 fans to provide ventilation. The work environment is dynamic and requires adherence to safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
