Job Title: 2nd Shift Mill Machinist
Job Description
An aerospace manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist with expertise in working with a range of materials including aluminum alloys, copper alloys (such as Beryllium Copper), stainless steel, high heat-treat materials, titanium, lightweight composites, and phenolics and plastics. The role involves working from Monday to Friday, from 1 pm to 9:30 pm, with potential overtime of up to 2 hours daily.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate complex CNC machines, including multi-axis mills (5-7 axis), dual-pallet machining centers, and multi-tasking turning centers (Mazak, Okuma, WFL).
+ Work with ultra-precision tolerances (±.0001” or tighter) on complex aerospace components.
+ Machine exotic aerospace materials such as titanium, Inconel, 300M, stainless steels, and other high-temperature alloys.
+ Collaborate on First Article Inspections (FAI) with Quality to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
+ Ensure traceability and documentation of parts, tooling, and setups in compliance with AS9100.
+ Identify, report, and document defects or quality concerns; escalate issues to supervisors or quality engineers.
+ Perform in-process and some final inspections using advanced inspection equipment (optical comparators, precision gauges).
+ Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area; uphold safety standards and PPE requirements.
+ Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule requirements are consistently met.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 10+ years of experience operating and setting up Mill/Turn machines (e.g., Integrex, WFL) and multi-axis CNC Mills (5-7 axis).
+ Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
+ Proficiency in using mechanical inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges) for in-process inspections.
+ Familiarity with tooling, fixturing, and setup documentation processes.
+ Experience with AS9100 and FAA-regulated manufacturing environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Hands-on experience with a variety of materials including aluminum, copper alloys, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.15 - $37.50/hr.
