Senior Manager, Predictive Modeling (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Auto Pricing Director within the Product Actuarial and Data Science Division, you will lead a team of analysts focused on personal auto insurance. You will develop models for telematics, vehicle/symbol rating, and underwriting models. This role is necessary to influence the direction of personal auto pricing coupled with collaborating with cross functional stakeholders. Ideal candidates have prior auto pricing insurance experience as well as modeling experience.
Position Compensation Range:
$147,000.00 - $250,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
• You will oversee the creation of vision and strategies, along with business application and modeling framework for new datasets and discovers insights and relationships from large/complex datasets.
•Oversee the development, implementation, and application of state-of-the art scientific solutions for addressing business questions.
• Manage the delivery of research findings to cross functional partners to help manage our performance and operations.
•You will lead the exploration of data using a variety of advanced techniques to identify relationships, create insights and answer business questions or guide future model development.
•You will oversee the build of hypotheses and identification of research attributes to determine the best approach to address business issues.
•Provide senior level support in the area of strategic analytics, to identify business opportunities, and optimize our performance.
•You will create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion as well as work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
•Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and practices.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
•Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service. •Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
•Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex projects and effectively leading interdisciplinary teams to accomplish project goals.
•Demonstrated experience formulating, approaching, and solving complex analytical problems using a quantitative, scientific approach.
•Demonstrated experience working with business clients and partnering with team members to create solutions.
•Demonstrated experience communicating business possible effects of complex data relationships and results of statistical models to multiple business partners.
•Demonstrated experience in machine learning, predictive modeling, or statistics / data mining using large amounts of structured, semi structured, and unstructured data.
•Demonstrated experience managing in an Agile environment.
•Demonstrated experience using analytically oriented languages such as Python or R.
•Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets using big data technologies and script language such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
+ Extensive knowledge and understanding of advanced statistical, machine learning and/or data mining techniques.
+ Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance industry products and services.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783, Boston MA, 02110 or Eden Prairie, MN 55343.
