Job Summary

+ RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Variable shifts in the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus

+ This role will be expected to rotate between ICU/Floor with possible training and rotation to Cardiac surgery operating room for the right candidate

+ Role includes rotational nights, weekends, and holidays

Essential Functions

+ Candidate should possess effective time management and critical care skills

+ Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume acute patient population

+ Skills with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement and chest tube placement are required

+ Must also be accustomed to working as an autonomous provider ex: making treatment decisions and moving patient care forward

+ Experience with POCUS is also preferred

+ The expectation is for the candidate to work at full extent of their license,

Education

+ Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute care, or Adult with previous critical care experience

+ NP can only be considered for the OR if they have their RNFA certification

+ Physician Assistants need to have graduated from accredited PA program

Experience

+ 2-3 years of critical care experience minimum,

+ Licenses and Certifications

+ Current NJ APN/PA license required

+ NCCPA certification required

+ CDS required

+ DEA required

+ RN required

+ RNFA certification optional

+ BLS required

+ ACLS required
