As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented Four-Post Hydraulic Gantry Crane Operator to support heavy equipment lifting and rigging operations. The operator will be responsible for safely controlling hydraulic gantry systems to lift, lower, and maneuver oversized or high-value loads in accordance with operational plans and safety standards. You will work Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts and overtime as needed. You will be compensated weekly at $25.00 per hour with a weekly pay.
How you create impact
+ Operate four-post hydraulic gantry cranes to lift, position, and move heavy equipment, machinery, and materials
+ Conduct pre-operation inspections, daily safety checks, and routine maintenance of hydraulic gantry systems
+ Interpret lift plans, load charts, and rigging diagrams to ensure safe handling of loads
+ Collaborate with riggers, signal persons, and project managers to coordinate movements and placement of equipment
+ Monitor load weight, balance, and stability throughout lifting operations
+ Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards
+ Document lift activities, equipment checks, and any incidents in accordance with company policy
+ Assist with setup, dismantling, and transport of gantry crane systems as required
What we would like you to bring
+ 1+ years of experience operating hydraulic gantry cranes or related heavy lifting equipment
+ Knowledge of rigging practices, lift planning, and heavy load movement
+ Ability to read and interpret load charts, engineering drawings, and lift plans
+ Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness
+ Physical ability to work in industrial environments (warehouses, construction sites, manufacturing plants)
+ Certification in rigging or crane operations preferred
+ OSHA or NCCCO credentials (or equivalent) are a plus
