    Job Title: Credit and Collection SpecialistJob Description

     

    The Credit and Collection Specialist will be an integral part of the finance team, assisting with various tasks related to the department’s operations and management. This role will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the accounts receivable specialist.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor the company’s accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.

    + Contact customers with overdue accounts to collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan.

    + Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers, as well as records of any payments collected.

    + Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.

    + Collaborate with the accounts receivable specialist regarding daily incoming deposits.

    + Maintain accurate AR aging reports.

    + Assist with the creation of new business partners, ensuring all customer information is accurate before entering.

    + Maintain and perform maintenance on existing business partners in the system for accuracy.

    + Review daily invoices for accuracy, including credit terms, and correct any mistakes.

    + Conduct COD invoice reviews.

    + Run monthly customer statements, review, and add finance charges if applicable, and mail them.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-10 years of experience in accounts receivable, collection, and invoicing.

    + Proficiency in making outbound calls.

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software.

    + Excellent customer service skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Attention to detail and highly organized.

    + Professional and technical verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize duties.

    + Self-motivated and proactive attitude.

    + Strong problem-solving abilities.

    + Experience with Extend and knowledge of Power BI.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in an office environment with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role offers an opportunity for career growth, with the potential to advance to an AR Manager role in the future.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
