Job Title: Tax AccountantJob Description

The Tax Accountant professional will assist the company in filing taxes appropriately while adhering to legal guidelines and obtaining the maximum possible tax return. They will also assist with reports, research, and other special projects.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct tax account analysis.

+ Meet annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting deadlines.

+ Assist with tax audits.

+ Research state and federal income tax regulations.

+ Prepare state income tax, federal income tax, and property tax returns.

+ Perform tax account reconciliations.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in tax accounting and income tax.

+ Experience with reconciliation and general ledger.

+ Ability to handle month-end financial statement preparation.

+ Skill in journal entry and reporting.

+ Knowledge of tax accounting, state tax, and balance sheet analysis.

+ Experience using tax software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of tax accounting or related experience.

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

+ Public Accountant experience is a plus.

+ CPA certification is a plus.

+ Experience with J.D. is beneficial.

+ Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot Tables and Formulas.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work environment with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
