About the Role
MOUNTAIN, LTD. has an opening for an Facility Assigner OSP in the Boise, ID area. This role is focused on providing OSP facility assignment services and supporting engineering teams with accurate recordkeeping, data integrity, and circuit assignments. The position requires strong organizational skills, technical accuracy, and a high level of initiative to ensure outside plant records and assignments are correct and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
OSP Facility Assignment & Record Management
+ Prepare and maintain line and station transfer sheets, cable transfer sheets, and associated service center records
+ Complete loop-makeup activities and ensure accuracy of assignments
+ Assign high-speed data and special circuits of all types in accordance with client requirements
+ Conduct data integrity reviews and clean up records as needed
+ Develop requests for engineering support and documentation
+ Assist field technicians in resolving terminal and cable count discrepancies
Clerical & Engineering Support
+ Maintain complex files and records for engineering and construction teams
+ Compile, check, and verify reports and schedules using data from multiple sources
+ Process departmental documents and post records, including accounting and continuing property records
+ Prepare correspondence, reports, and updates from drafts or engineer input
+ Gather and coordinate statistical data for departmental or project-specific reports
+ Provide proactive communication and follow-up with construction and field teams to track project status
Qualifications
+ Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); expert-level Excel preferred
+ Background in telecom, OSP/ISP engineering, or related clerical/technical support roles a plus
+ Analytical and detail-oriented, with proven ability to maintain data integrity in large, complex files
+ Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable coordinating with both engineers and field technicians
+ High initiative, follow-through, and support capability in a fast-paced work environment
