    Robot Systems Operator - Mebane, NC

    Two Shifts Available:

    Dayshift: 7:00AM - 7:00PM

     

    Nightshift: 7:00PM-7:00AM

    The Opportunity:

    Responsible for the setup and operation of robotic sorting, flatpack, and case palletizing system. Provides general direction and guidance to any helpers or packers working alongside the Robot Operator.

     

    * Follow all safety procedures necessary for the operation of robotics system.

    * Work in partnership with the Quality Assurance team to ensure quality standard is maintained.

    * Monitor carton quality, complete necessary reports (forms) or quality checks.

    * Responsible for the operation of robotics system for sorting, packing, and palletization of finished goods. This includes the infeed, buffer, case packing and case transport, outfeed, pallet transport, upkeep of magazines, the robot and its controls, and any other portion of the machine needed to achieve efficient operation.

    * Given safety and quality standards are met, production numbers including speed, productivity, and throughput must meet requirements set by department manager, plant manager, or general manager.

    * Create and install correct pallet IDs as required.

    * Verify job completion.

    * Assist in general maintenance, upkeep, and PMs of machine as needed.

    * Notifies supervision of needed repairs or replacement parts.

    * Make ready machine, input recipes as needed, add and assign SKUs.

    * Resolve alarm errors and warnings presented by the robotics system.

    * Maintain housekeeping to standards set by management.

    * Complete line clearance.

    * Scan incoming corrugated and place into racks.

    * Transport corrugated and packing materials to the gluers.

    * Knowledge of internal ERP systems and show proficiency in navigating/operating within those ERP systems (Radius, PSA, and Virtual Work Ticket).

    * Perform and document quality audits.

    * Work effectively alongside packers and material handlers.

    * Train or receive additional training as needed.

    * Any additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

    * Assist other departments and teammates during slow or downtime periods. We are one team!

    What You Need to Succeed:

    * Ability to maintain good attendance.

    * Must be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision.

    * Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing.

    * Must be able to relate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.

    * Must have mathematical ability to perform calculations required by the job.

    * Computer literate, including the ability to maintain basic databases, do word processing, create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel.

    * Must be well-organized and able to manage time efficiently.

    * Ability to multi-task and pay strong attention to detail

    * Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

    * Must have a professional appearance.

    * Must be able to perform essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

    * Must have manufacturing, machining, or robotics experience.

    * Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

    * Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
