Job Description
This is a Hybrid position. Requires some onsite as needed to various locations at Mount Sinai Hospitals and Mount Sinai South Nassau locations.
The Cloud & Infra IT Technical Engineer II is responsible for managing and overseeing Mt. Sinai’s cloud and on premises infrastructure. They ensure that cloud & on premises services and applications are operating smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills and the ability to work across technology teams as well as stakeholders in a large-scale multi-Cloud environment.
Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute.
+ 5+ years of experience in engineering and support of an institutional IT system, a segment of that system or a process, as assigned.
+ Must have technical experience in networking and relational database software products and demonstrate seasoned IT skills and competency in most aspects of software activities. Must have excellent trouble-shooting, documentation and communication skills.
+ 5+ years' experience in Windows Server administration
+ Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
+ Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
+ Experience with SCCM and PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities
• Monitoring and managing cloud-based systems and services
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers in a multi-cloud and on premises environment
• Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud resources, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing the performance of cloud environments
• Performing regular maintenance, patch management, and updates to ensure optimal performance and security compliance
• Collaborating with other IT staff members to ensure the stability and integrity of cloud services
• Coordinate with vendors (e.g., HP, Nutanix) and datacenter staff for hardware issue resolution
• Support enterprise solutions using various cloud service models such as SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS
• Stay current with trends and advancements in cloud technology, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the organization
• Provide Root Cause analysis and recommend documentation for knowledge base.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $82000 - $123000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
