The Data Production Manager & Graphic Designer is responsible for overseeing daily data processing, ensuring timely distribution of information, and delivering high-quality graphic design solutions for the Perry Point VA Medical Center. This is a fully onsite position requiring strong professionalism, respect, and interpersonal skills when working with VA personnel and clients.
Responsibilities:
+ Daily Operations: Accurately process data and ensure all required information is mailed out each day.
+ Client & Staff Interaction: Maintain professional and respectful relationships with VA personnel and clients.
+ Document & Print Consulting: Provide expert guidance on digital print processes and production improvements.
+ Electronic Job Management: Oversee electronic job submissions and track progress to completion.
+ Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards for print and design quality across all projects.
+ Contingency Planning: Develop and implement backup plans to maintain uninterrupted operations.
+ Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and objectives.
+ Enterprise Support: Deliver comprehensive document management and communication support across the VA network.
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience in data management, document workflows, and graphic design.
+ Strong knowledge of digital print technologies and offset-to-digital conversion.
+ Proficiency in electronic job submission platforms and tracking systems.
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
+ Must be able to work onsite daily (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience working in VA Medical Centers or similar healthcare environments.
+ Familiarity with VA Acquisitions & Materials Management processes and enterprise systems.
+ Experience supporting software upgrades and installations.
+ Knowledge of Variable Data Processing (Mail merge, XMPIE, etc.).
+ Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Understanding of mailing software (e.g., bulk mailer) and USPS processes.
+ Experience with Lytrod software (asset).
+ Operation of digital presses and finishing equipment (asset).
+ Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
