Job Description: Release of Information (ROI) Specialist
Join our team as a Release of Information Specialist, where you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely handling of patient medical records while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
+ Process release of information requests by retrieving, scanning, and transmitting patient medical records daily.
+ Review and validate authorization forms to ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal procedures.
+ Date-stamp and highlight incoming requests to streamline processing.
+ Respond to inquiries from patients and providers with professionalism and empathy.
+ Maintain organized and secure storage of medical files.
+ Prioritize and manage requests from multiple sources using appropriate systems, ensuring timely completion in line with federal and state regulations.
+ Educate customers on confidentiality and privacy standards.
+ Assist callers with record requests and general customer service needs.
+ Identify and respond to internal and external customer needs using available resources.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in Release of Information (ROI).
+ Proficiency with EPIC ROI Navigator Module.
+ Strong attention to detail with 95%+ accuracy in data entry and processing.
+ Familiarity with e-fax and PDF applications.
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
