Position Summary
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will join the Measurement, Accounting, and Scheduling Product Team as part of the Natural Gas & NGL Services Digital Products Line. This role will focus on leading agile product development of systems like FLOWCAL, TIPS, TESTit, and ACM. You will identify, gather, and evaluate technology ideas, strategic improvements, and enhancements to business capabilities such existing products and services to address customer requirements and support organizational goals in growth and digital transformation. Key responsibilities include leading critical projects, resolving problems, delivering value-added enhancements, gathering, and documenting business requirements, and the coordination of users testing. You will work alongside product owners to manage product lifecycles—covering intent, definition, design, planning, development, prototyping, and testing—and utilizing design thinking techniques such as user stories, wireframes, and prototyping to deliver product features. The position will also involve collaborating with business partners to select and tailor technology products or services for business needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with business partners, product/platform owners, and subject matter experts to solve complex business problems and deliver value. Travel requirements are approximately 10%.
Key Responsibilities
+ Leads improvement recommendations and presents effectively to senior and executive management and global teams.
+ Presents and leads client meetings with the business and development teams.
+ Communicates with senior leaders for understanding and execution of cross functional complex processes and applications to solve for client requirements. Provides recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
+ Partners with business teams to develop ways to investigate business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
+ Leads and serves as a senior resource on cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
+ Serves as a resource to colleagues, mentors and helps improve the team’s abilities around all IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines deployed.
+ Leads the development, execution, and creation of the cross functional testing strategy communicating with all stakeholders for technology delivery.
+ Leads the planning, conducting and documenting of user stories, user feedback. Effectively communicates feedback with senior leaders for technology improvement.
+ Develop business acumen to understand core business processes and desired outcomes.
+ Participate in Cybersecurity remediation, hardening and resiliency initiatives to help ensure product/platform resources are adequately protected.
+ Participate in Problem Management activities including performing root cause analysis for critical issues impacting product/platform portfolio and coordinating corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
+ Lead efforts with Business Partners to gather requirements, business process mapping, functional specifications, and translate into functional specifications. Lead the testing process to ensure a quality product is delivered.
+ Develops quality deliverables (e.g., requirements, build/buy diligence, fit/gap analysis, business process maps, functional specifications, solution mockups, testing strategies, test scripts, change readiness plans and support documentation).
+ Support the product owner in management of the product backlog; confirm alignment of priorities with business partners.
+ Manage change management activities for solutions from inception to move to production.
+ Manage Testing requirements for solutions managed by product team to ensure quality assurance in all production code moves.
+ Ensure the security and compliance requirements of systems and business areas. Utilize appropriate methods, controls, and documentation.
+ Stays current on technologies and business processes. Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements. Identifies evolving business requirement, measures business processes and application performance, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
+ Understands the data and how the business processes function within the product. Develops and maintains an understanding of interfacing systems.
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of relevant experience required
+ Experience working with business-critical Measurement and Accounting applications in the Midstream oil and gas industry, including but not limited to Quorum FLOWCAL, TIPS, TESTit, ACM, ZDScada, WEnergy and similar
+ Experience with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, and Azure Cloud tools
+ Experience working on Agile Product Teams utilizing agile frameworks such as SAFe
+ Strong SQL and intermediate reporting skills (Power BI, etc.) required.

+ Continuous Improvement Mindset - Identifies and leads opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation, both incremental and large-scale.
+ Incident Management - Ensuring that any incidents affecting processes and performances of relevant technology services or systems are managed appropriately to mitigate risk and minimize disruption.
+ Quality Assurance - The process to ensure organizational activities are designed to ensure that an organization is providing the best possible product or service to customers.
+ Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change while also communicating to relevant stakeholders.
+ Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - A process used by the software industry to design, develop and test high-quality software.
+ Specification Development - Understanding the context, stakeholders and requirements or features of a product or application and detailing the specifications around them.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.5+ years of relevant experience
