About the role

As an Azure Developer, you will contribute to innovative projects that enhance our services and positively impact society. You will work with cutting-edge technologies in a hybrid work model, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement scalable data solutions using Databricks and PySpark to optimize data processing workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy applications on Azure cloud ensuring high performance and reliability.

• Utilize Python to automate data pipelines and enhance data integration processes improving overall efficiency.

• Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies.

• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards safeguarding sensitive information.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing and cloud infrastructure minimizing downtime.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive records of development activities for future reference.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.

• Mentor junior developers sharing knowledge and expertise to support their professional growth.

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data engineering and cloud deployment.

• Support the implementation of machine learning models enhancing predictive analytics capabilities.

What you need to have to be considered

• 5–8 years of experience as a developer with strong proficiency in Databricks and PySpark.

• Demonstrated expertise in Python programming with the ability to write clean and efficient code.

• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services including deployment and management of applications.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.

• Familiarity with Life and Annuities Insurance domain and understanding of industry-specific data requirements.

• Strong communication skills capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications Required

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position between is $67,000 to $76,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
