Job Description Summary
Support the Manufacturing shops with the installation of new equipment. Work with Facilities engineers, outside engineering firms, equipment suppliers and contractors to support the overall installation of new equipment. This also includes building and equipment modifications, improvements, and rearrangement projects. This position reports directly to the GE Hitachi Facilities and Equipment Engineering manager with major focus on supporting Plant & Equipment projects within the GNF-A manufacturing facilities located in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include the following:
+ Manage nuclear fuel manufacturing equipment and Facilities projects from scope definition, through release, to production.
+ Create project specific benefits, objectives, budgets, and schedules. Utilizes in-depth knowledge, analytical thinking and technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
+ Manage the development and execution of the project deliverables including project reporting.
+ Interface cross-functionally with Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing
+ Engineering, Facilities, Sourcing, EHS, and Quality to execute the projects.
+ Represent and lead cross-functional teams in kick-off meetings, project status meetings, site visits, and leadership reviews.
+ Be the liaison between industrial contractors and manufacturing project requestors. Scope and obtain bids and proposals from contract companies and provide contractor oversite for safety, financials, productivity, and quality oversite.
+ Work in both a supervised and unsupervised capacity to solve problems and at times, in critical situations and timelines.
+ Proficient use of computers is required including use of various application software such as
+ Microsoft Office and Project Scheduler (PS6) or similar programs.
+ Must maintain a GE issued cell phone for after-hours availability (24hrs/day X 7 days/week)
+ Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 15 years of relevant work experience OR
+ Associate degree from regionally accredited college, university, or equivalent with a minimum 8 years of relevant work experience OR
+ Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college, university, or equivalent with a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
+ Additionally, at least 2 years of experience in a Project Management role is required.
**Eligibility** **Requirements** :
+ For Controlled Access Area: must be able to successfully pass a Nuclear Safety Training Test; follow strict radiation protection, criticality, and industrial safety regulations; wear protective clothing to enter the area.
+ Ability to walk up and down stairs.
+ Must be 18 years or older and have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Desired Characteristics
+ Technical Degree such as Engineering, Construction Project Management, etc.
+ Knowledge Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing license requirements, GNF Policies and Procedures, and Change Management procedures that apply to working within the Wilmington CAA (internal candidates only).
+ Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar
+ Good understanding of Plant & Equipment Investment cycle, AR process, and GAP guidelines
+ BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
+ Experience with configuration/change management.
+ Capital project management experience.
+ Facilities upgrades experience.
+ Experience with fuel contracts and customers
+ Ability to develop creative solutions for complex, challenging issues.
+ Ability to explain complex issues to a non-technical audience.
+ Positive track record of experience resolving technical issues.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Strong written communication skills.
+ Proven ability to influence others.
The base pay range for this position is $105-140k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 10/17/2025.
