    _We are looking for you to join our team as a_ **_Manufacturing Engineer_** _based out of_ **_Apopka, FL_** _._

     

    _This role has daily collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Production Planning, Operations Program Management, and various strategic teams across the Mission Systems enterprise._

    _What You’ll Get to Do:_

    + _Accountable for process technical ownership, optimization, and disposition, including top-level and subassemblies._

    + _Accountable for the maintenance of manufacturing instruction within the site MES, work product defined procedures, and work instructions._

    + _Manufacturing capacity planning support and optimization for responsible production lines._

    + _Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned._

    + _Digital Tread initiatives support._

    + _Accountable for process control, quality, safety, delivery, and rework metrics for responsible production lines._

    + _Accountable for manufacturing tooling drawing release via the site product life-cycle system._

    + _Support of manufacturing proposals & basis-of-estimates (BOEs) for potential contracts._

    _Competency_

    + _General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques._

    + _Passion and relentless drive for achieving manufacturing and operational results._

    + _Root cause problem-solving and continuous improvement._

    + _Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)._

    + _Knowledge of Process control methods (SPC/control charts)._

    + _Knowledge of Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)._

    + _Broad technical experience in value stream manufacturing operations._

    + _Knowledge of Risk Management identification and mitigation._

    + _Action-oriented with the ability to make quick decisions in response to changing conditions._

    + _Solid presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas._

    + _Commitment to ethics and compliance_

     

    _*******NOTE: This is a 2nd Shift role with a 10% differential*******_

    _Basic Qualifications_** **_Manufacturing Engineer_

    + _Bachelor’s degree in an applicable Engineering discipline or other technical disciplines with 2 years related experience in manufacturing or engineering,_ **_OR_** _a master’s degree with 0 years_

    + _Experience with or knowledge of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or production/shop floor systems_

    + _Experience with process development, process flow, tooling, and manufacturing methods._

    + _Experience_ _in reading, interpreting, and applying engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and mechanical layouts._

    + _Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance_

    + _US Citizenship required_

    _Preferred Qualifications_** **_Manufacturing Engineer_

    + _Aerospace or defense product experience: EOIR, LASER, and imaging_

    + _Experience with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)_

    + _Teamcenter Mission Product Life-cycle Management experience_

    + _SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP system experience_

    + _Proficiency in CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, Siemens NX)_

    + _Digital_ _Manufacturing/Manufacturing_ _Distributed Network (MDN) implementation experience_

    + _Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)_

    _MANUMS_

    Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
