We currently have 22 faculty members, eighty graduate students, over seventy full-time researchers and postdoctoral fellows, and an outstanding and dedicated support staff, that comprise one of the most research-active units at the university. The department conducts more than $16M in externally sponsored research each year and is nationally ranked near the top of its field.

The Wu Research Group focuses on studying atmospheric compositions and land-atmosphere interaction using observations and models. We currently study the emissions, atmospheric transport, and chemistry of greenhouse gases and air pollutants over urban areas, agricultural land, and natural ecosystems.

    Position Summary

Our team seeks a postdoc in support of a NASA project. The overall objective of this position is to investigate the intensity, timing, and spatial distribution of nitrogen oxide emissions from croplands. Varied atmospheric observations, especially those from NASA’s geostationary TEMPO satellite, and regional chemical transport models will be used to optimize soil NOx emissions and to understand the underlying environmental and human factors driving the flux variability.

The position will report to Prof. Dien Wu (project lead) and is expected to meet regularly with the entire team including Prof. Stephen Ogle, Dr. Ram Gurung, and Dr. Anping Chen at CSU .
