We currently study the emissions, atmospheric transport, and chemistry of greenhouse gases and air pollutants over urban areas, agricultural land, and natural ecosystems.
Position Summary
Our team seeks a postdoc in support of a NASA project. The overall objective of this position is to investigate the intensity, timing, and spatial distribution of nitrogen oxide emissions from croplands. Varied atmospheric observations, especially those from NASA’s geostationary TEMPO satellite, and regional chemical transport models will be used to optimize soil NOx emissions and to understand the underlying environmental and human factors driving the flux variability.
The position will report to Prof. Dien Wu (project lead) and is expected to meet regularly with the entire team including Prof. Stephen Ogle, Dr. Ram Gurung, and Dr. Anping Chen at CSU . The collaborators (Drs. Joshua Laughner and Le Kuai from JPL ) will provide additional input and guidance as appropriate.
