    Position Overview

    + Location: Rockingham, NC

    + Facility Type: County Jail

    + Contract Length: 8 weeks (with strong potential for extension)

    + Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    + Schedule: Monday - Friday | 40 hours/week

    + Compensation: Competitive weekly pay – Local & Travel Rates Available

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Direct Patient Care

     

    + Conduct intake screenings and routine health assessments

    + Administer prescribed medications and treatments

    + Monitor and document inmate health status

    + Provide wound care and chronic disease management

     

    Medical Coordination

     

    + Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

    + Assist with emergency medical response and triage

    + Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

     

    Compliance & Safety

     

    + Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols

    + Comply with state regulations and correctional facility policies

    What We’re Looking For

    + Experience: Minimum 1 year in correctional, behavioral health, or acute care nursing

    + Licensure: Active NC LPN license or multistate compact license

    + Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in high-pressure environments

    + Commitment: Reliability and dedication to fulfilling the full contract term
