    Job Description

    Grace is hiring aMaintenance Technicianthat will report to the Maintenance Superintendent of the Tyrone Pennsylvania site.

     

    The primary role is to install and maintain chemical process piping and equipment at the facility.

     

    The first month on the job will consist of many onboarding tasks including safety training, permitting, and learning the facility. Upon completion of all onboarding items, this employee will immediately start working on jobs in the plant. For the next few months this individual will be working directly with at least one other employee until the department deems this person is qualified and knowledgeable regarding site systems and policies to conduct their own work.

    Responsibilities

    + Installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems at the facility.

    + Repairing and troubleshooting chemical process equipment.

    + Removing idle chemical process pipes.

    + Utilize non-routine, setup, hot work, lockout tagout, and confined space permits regularly.

    + Other site related repair and maintenance tasks

     

    Physical Requirements and Environment

     

    + Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.

    + Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.

    + Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator

    Required Qualifications

    + Must not be afraid to work from heights

    + 2 years of work experience in a maintenance trade position .

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Willingness to move to a rotating shift in the future upon completion of training.

    + Experience working a rotating schedule.
