    Job Summary:

    Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in the preparation and filing of federal, state and local income tax estimates and returns, preparation, and filing of various other state and local tax returns, maintaining compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities

    + Compile and analyze tax data for use in tax compliance

    + Assist in preparing and filing quarterly income tax estimates and annual income tax returns for federal, state and local jurisdictions; resolve tax issues that arise with state and local authorities

    + Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740

    + Assist in preparing other federal, state and local tax returns

    + Process and maintain data used in federal and state tax depreciation and retirement calculations

    + Prepare journal entries for various general ledger tax accounts

    + Evaluate and process tax bills from government authorities; resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments

    + Analyze and reconcile general ledger tax accounts; identify and resolve abnormalities

    + Research, monitor, and implement federal, state, and local income tax regulations

    + Support audit defense for income tax and other tax areas

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

    + 1–2 years of experience in finance and/or tax-related roles

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Strong discretion and professionalism, especially in challenging situations

    + CPA certification or currently pursuing certification a plus

    + Proven ability to make independent, time-sensitive decisions

    + Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills

    + Effective both independently and in team environments

    Compensation:

    Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

    Benefits:

    The Company offers the following benefits for full-time positions, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, as may be in effect from time to time: medical benefit, dental benefit, vision benefit, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid time off commensurate with tenure (includes vacation and sick time), six weeks of paid maternity leave along with two weeks of paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.
