Job Description
The Training Instructor will deliver technical training to USPS employees at the National Center for Employee Development (NCED). Responsibilities include leading classroom and lab sessions, managing training activities, preparing materials and equipment, evaluating student performance, and contributing to curriculum development. The instructor will serve as a subject matter expert and ensure a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment.
Compensation: 30hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of adult education principles and training practices
• Ability to simplify complex information and deliver clear instructions
• Experience instructing adults with varied backgrounds in technical subjects
• Strong classroom management and time management skills
• Ability to counsel and support individual performance improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to foster interactive and engaging learning environments
• Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical equipment, including motor controls, maintenance, troubleshooting, and schematic interpretation • Experience developing and revising training materials
• Familiarity with USPS operations or government training programs
• Ability to conduct peer reviews and mentor new instructors
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards
