Job Description

As the Director of Security, you’ll be the strategic and operational lead for all security activities across the property and leading investigations when needed. You’ll oversee and manage a team Security Shift Managers, ensuring 24/7 coverage and compliance with gaming regulations to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and property. You’ll also be responsible for mentoring your team, driving performance, and ensuring the department runs smoothly and discreetly in a fast-paced casino environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional service and resolve guest concerns promptly

• Hire, train, supervise, and support security management staff across all shifts

• Provides operations oversight to ensure department goals, standards, and budgets are met

• Communicates effectively and timely with all other members of Security Leadership

• Implement training programs to uphold high service and safety standards

• Ensure adherence to company policies and gaming regulations; collaborate with local, state, and federal authorities as needed

• Stay informed on local criminal activity and maintain relationships with law enforcement and other gaming security teams

• Maintain a professional relationship with the Indiana Gaming Commission

• Provides incident support to departmental management in the event of sensitive and/or dangerous situations such as terminations, thefts, and team member or guest issues

• Ensure and oversee all safety training in CPR/AED, First Aid, emergency planning, report writing, and accident investigations

• Develop and lead emergency response plans for incidents like fire, flood, severe weather, or active threats; act as On-Scene Leader during emergencies

• Stay current on laws affecting the property and conduct investigations when necessary

• Prepare accurate reports to keep leadership informed of security incidents

• Responsible for transportation standards and the maintenance of department vehicles.

• Performs other tasks as assigned by the VP of Casino Operations.

Skills and Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a Security Operations Manager (casino or similar environment).

• Proven leadership experience managing multi-tiered teams.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment with discretion and professionalism.

• Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules.

• Must successfully pass background check, drug test, and possess a good driving record to obtain and maintain a gaming license. • Casino gaming experience or similar regulated industry.

• Experience with regulatory reporting and audit preparation.

• Military or Police/Law Enforcement background.

• Associates degree or higher, preferred.

• CPR and First Aid/AED, Blood Borne Pathogens Certification, preferred.
