    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Insight Global is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join an engineering consulting firm in Plainville, CT. This position involves designing innovative civil engineering solutions, conducting feasibility studies, preparing design plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also includes close collaboration with clients and project teams to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities:

     

    - Conduct code research and ensure design standards align with project specifications.

     

    - Perform engineering calculations and use software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and StormCAD for design tasks.

     

    - Analyze critical design data from survey and engineering drawings.

     

    - Develop site layouts, utility plans, and drainage designs, along with sedimentation and erosion control plans.

     

    - Prepare detailed engineering reports and project-specific design documentation.

     

    - Review materials during construction, respond to RFIs, and monitor construction progress through visual observations.

     

    - Offer creative solutions for technical and regulatory challenges.

     

    - Provide technical guidance to junior staff and manage smaller projects to develop leadership skills.

     

    - Maintain safety standards in field operations and abide by company policies

    Skills and Requirements

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    - Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Civil Engineering

     

    - 2+ years of civil engineering experience

     

    - Proficiency in engineering software and design standards (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and StormCAD) NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

     

    - Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred, not required.
