• COPY - Principal Systems Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to support us in the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure for a DOD customer. This individual will be responsible for the implementation of an enterprise cloud solution that will provide mission critical capabilities to the kill chain for a joint customer group.

    They will:

    • Lead systems engineering from requirements definition through design and implementation.

    • Conduct site surveys and support installation/configuration of physical systems.

    • Develop technical reviews and documentation, including requirements, interfaces, and architecture.

    • Collaborate with teams to integrate hardware, cloud, software, and network solutions.

    • Recommend and evaluate new technologies to enhance system capabilities.

    • Maintain expertise in hardware and software interconnection (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).

    • Apply technical expertise to solve complex problems in innovative ways.

     

    Hourly: 71-97/hr

     

    Salary: 160,000-185,000

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -Bachelors Degree and 9+ years of experience

     

    -Active Top Secret Clearance w/ SCI eligibility

     

    -Proven experience leading systems engineering projects, including requirements definition, design, and implementation.

     

    -Strong background in hardware engineering, network configuration, and systems integration.

     

    -Hands-on experience with network technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and physical hardware installations.

     

    -Familiarity with cloud configurations, software architecture, and system security best practices.

     

    -Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for system automation.

     

    -Proficiency at the administrator level with Windows or Linux servers
