Job Description

In this role, candidates will be a hands-on developer responsible for coding and building robust Java-based applications while also serving as a coach and player for the team. You will oversee and manage the development team, providing guidance and support on daily workloads while contributing directly to coding tasks. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve designing and implementing APIs, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and maintaining high-quality standards in code delivery. You will actively participate in technical discussions, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to best practices in containerized development, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments, while fostering an Agile environment that promotes continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java frameworks (Java, JSP, JS, Angular, Spring Boot)

• 7+ years of experience with databases – SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)

• 5+ years of experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs

• 5+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies

• 5+ years of experience with containerized development using OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker and deploying through CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub)

5+ years of experience working in Agile methodologies • Familiarity with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms

• Knowledge of structured logging, retry policies, and health check integrations

• Understanding of security concepts such as JWT, Okta, and policy-based authentication

Experience with IBM APIs, Azure APIs, Operational Decision Manager (ODM), Python, and automation tools
