    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Drafter in Longview, TX. The client hiring this Mechanical Drafter is in the commercial & industrial machining industry. They design, manufacture, and repair radiators, heating coils, and cooling coils for their industrial clients. This is a fast-paced yet rewarding position for candidates with a strong desire to succeed.

     

    Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, pay close attention to detail, and be able to juggle multiple projects. Prior drafting experience as well as an associate’s degree or technical certification are required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proficient AutoCAD or SolidWorks abilities

    • The ability to interpret mechanical drawings

    • Create approval drawings and production detail part drawings

    • Design For Cost and Quality

    Skills and Requirements

    • Associate’s Degree or technical certification

    • 2+ years of professional drafting experience

    • Experience drafting a mechanical product, industries may vary

    • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks

    • Good communication skills

    • Must be quality minded and self-motivated

    • Detail oriented

    • Radiators, coil, HVAC or Refrigeration design experience a plus
