Responsibilities :

• Review and analyze Commercial loan applications to determine creditworthiness and repayment ability.

• Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant financial data.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with loan applications.

• Ensure all loan applications comply with guidelines and lender policies.

• Manager multiple loans at a time and allocate the appropriate time each

• Prepare detailed credit memorandums and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

• Work closely with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the loan approval process.

In this role, the underwriter will be responsible for analyzing commercial loan applications, interpreting financial statements, and identifying any discrepancies or data entry errors to accurately assess lending risk. This position involves regular interaction with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders throughout the underwriting process. A key responsibility includes preparing detailed credit summaries and presenting findings to the loan committee to support decisions on creditworthiness. Additionally, the underwriter will conduct annual portfolio reviews to evaluate the performance and risk of loans issued during the year. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Prior experience in financial analysis or underwriting is preferred.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Commercial underwriting

• Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field

• Understanding Credit and risk

• Experience with CRE (Commercial Real Estate) and CNI (Commercial and Industrial Lending) • Master’s Degree

• Current Certified Lending Authority

• Business Lending Certified Authority
