    Description

    Job Functions:

    • Perform First Article, in-process, receiving and final inspection in support of production activities.

    • Approve incoming materials and parts by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

    • Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conduction visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments

    • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work

    • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database

    • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions

    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations

    • Participate in frequent and detailed recurrent training courses covering aerospace systems and requirements, company operations policy, etc.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures

    Position Requirements

    Skills Required:

    + Efficient with CMM software - LK DMIS and / or PC DMIS

    + Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications and standards

    + Familiar with Geometric Tolerances, GDT

    + Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office

    + Self-motivated and well organized

    + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization

    + Must pass yearly Inspector Vision Exam

    Education and Experience Required:

    + High School diploma or GED

    + 2 years experience operating, programming and maintaining a CMM

    + Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, etc.

    + Minimum 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry
