    Overview

     

    The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides high-quality occupational health care and education to Mobile Health clients, aligning clinical services with professional standards and regulatory guidelines. This role is central to delivering patient-centered care at one of Mobile Health’s New York City-based clinics and contributes to the overall health and well-being of working populations through preventive screenings, exams, and onsite interventions.

     

    Working in collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals—including medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff, the Nurse Practitioner ensures accurate documentation, patient safety, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company protocols. With a strong foundation in both clinical care and workplace health, the NP helps support Mobile Health’s mission to provide accessible, efficient, and compassionate care to employers and their employees.

    Hours of Operation

     

    Our clinics are open Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-5pm (hours vary based on location and day)

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    + Provide high-quality occupational health care to patients in accordance with established professional standards and clinical policies.

    + Conduct comprehensive medical histories and evaluations for patients during initial and follow-up visits.

    + Coordinate onsite care and medical interventions as needed to support optimal patient outcomes.

    + Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, medical assistants, and physician assistants, to support patient flow and clinical operations.

    + Participate in clinic performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of care and service delivery.

    + Maintain awareness of relevant occupational health laws, guidelines, and best practices that may impact patient care.

    + Document clinical encounters accurately and promptly in the EMR, in compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.

    + Contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture by supporting team-building efforts and aligning with broader healthcare goals.

    + Attend and contribute to in-service training and quarterly performance improvement meetings.

    + Maintain professionalism in attitude, appearance, and interactions with patients, clients, and colleagues.

    + Respect and support the diversity of all individuals, fostering a respectful clinical environment.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    + In-depth knowledge of occupational health services, standards of care, and patient education practices.

    + Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with patients, clinical staff, and cross-functional teams.

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    + Familiarity with state and federal occupational health laws and regulations.

    + Strong documentation skills with proficiency in using EMR/EHR platforms.

    + Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to continuous performance and process improvement.

    + Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical clinical practice.

    + Professional demeanor and a respectful, inclusive approach to patient care.

    Experience & Education

    + Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program; Master’s degree required.

    + Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of New York.

    + Established Collaborative Agreement as required for independent practice.

    + Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in occupational health or related fields.

    + Certified Medical Examiner (CME), or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

    + Experience with EMR/EHR systems required.

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.

    Physical Requirements

    Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job, with or without accommodation:

    + Ability to operate a keyboard and perform repetitive motion (keyboard), writing
