Job Summary and Qualifications
As Food Service Production Associate, you will prepare menu set-up for patient tray line and assemble trays for breakfast, lunch and dinner according to the patients prescribed diet order and menu selection. Your essential responsibilities and accountabilities of this position include interactions with other departments and outside vendors.
+ You will prepare menu items and assemble patient trays accurately according to specified diet orders.
+ You will set up the assigned station properly before each meal service within the specified time frame.
+ You will coordinate the assembly of patient meals during the tray line process.
+ You will follow food portion sizes as specified on menu guides and indicated on the menu.
+ You will check tally sheets prior to tray line to ensure all items are available and on the line.
+ You will garnish all food items according to standards set on menu guides.
+ You will requisition all par level stock items needed in the area from the storeroom.
+ You will ensure timely dispatch of food carts to nursing units..
+ You will demonstrate working knowledge of room service goals for the production area.
+ You will adhere to departmental Quality Assurance procedures and standards.
+ You will provide written or verbal follow-up action as needed for temperature issues.
+ You will perform daily and weekly cleaning assignments according to schedule.
+ You will follow standard infection control practices for hand washing, hygiene, grooming, uniforms, and food handling.
What qualifications you will need:
Experience
+ At least 6 months of food service experience in food service
+ Knowledge of kitchen cleaning, dishwashing and cashier/cash register work
Education
+ 10th grade education
+ High School Graduate or GED Equivalent – preferred
License and Certifications
+ Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Travis/Williamsons County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit within 7 days of hire
