    Mechanical Engineering Intern

    Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Engineering intern to join our team at Farmington, CT lead design center. This internship offers you an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your skills in a collaborative learning environment, under the mentorship of our senior mechanical engineers. During your internship you will be an integral part of a team that solves real problems._

    On a typical day you will:

    + Create Creo 3D Modeling Software effectively to support engineering tasks while following established internal procedures and compliance requirements.

    + Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and system designs

    + Collaborate with engineers on planning and execution

    + Prepare technical presentations related to your project or participate in design reviews

    + Collaborate with other Otis interns.

    What You Will Need to be Successful:

    + Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

    + Passion for Mechanical Engineering, mechanical design or system integration and testing

    + Experience with 3D CAD software with an understanding of and adherence to company-specific engineering processes and standards.

    + Be able to apply mechanical engineering theories and analytical methods to perform modeling, simulation, and analyses of mechanical components and systems.

    + Work collaboratively in a team environment

    + Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills

    + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
