Summary:

We are looking for a Research Engineer to join the Wearables Voice AI Assistant Team at Reality Labs. Our team works on speech-LLMs, and leverages knowledge in areas like speech generation and understanding, multilingual modeling and on-device speech LLMs.

Required Skills:

Research Engineer - Wearables Voice AI Assistant Responsibilities:

1. Apply relevant AI and machine learning techniques to build speech/LLM technology that will improve Meta Wearables products and experiences

2. Develop novel, accurate AI algorithms and advanced systems for large scale applications

3. Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, developing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results

4. Work with large data, and contribute to development of large scale foundation models

5. Design methods, tools, and infrastructure to push forward the state of the art in large language models

Minimum Qualifications:

6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

7. 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, large language models, speech and audio processing, speech generation, or related fields

8. Experience developing machine learning algorithms or machine learning infrastructure in Python, PyTorch, and/or C/C++

9. Master's degree or PhD in relevant technical field

10. Technical background in speech processing (ASR, TTS) and speech and audio foundation model, and speech-LLM

11. Track record in delivering impactful applied research work to production

Public Compensation:

$85.10/hour to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
