Position Summary:
As a Scheduling Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact in the patient experience, ensuring accurate scheduling and financial clearance for diagnostic testing and procedures. You’ll use your specialized knowledge to support operational efficiency and patient satisfaction across multiple departments and facilities.
What You’ll Do:
+ Schedule complex diagnostic and ancillary testing across multiple facilities and states
+ Perform pre-registration, insurance verification, and financial responsibility identification
+ Communicate effectively with service delivery areas to optimize patient flow
+ Support performance improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting
+ Collaborate with leadership and colleagues to identify opportunities and implement solutions
+ Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
What You’ll Need:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ 2–5 years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access
+ National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA (required within 1 year of hire)
+ Proficiency in patient registration/accounting systems and related software
+ Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate’s Degree
+ Mastery in scheduling across three or more modalities
+ Experience with complex facility-based testing and multi-state scheduling protocols
+ Knowledge of third-party and government payer billing and reimbursement guidelines
