Position: Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Life Science & Public Safety
Department: Division of Life Science & Public Safety
Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
+ Receive visitors, answer telephones, and provide appropriate information and assistance to faculty and staff members, students, visitors, and callers.
+ Work closely with adjuncts and full-time faculty with administrative duties and academic semester events.
+ Communicate in-person, via email, and by phone with Life Science & Public Safety (LSPS) student and faculty.
+ Prepare Letter of Agreements (LOA) for adjunct instructors.
+ Create monthly adjunct payroll documentation.
+ Prepare and maintain all clinical contracts/agreements and memorandum of understandings for the LSPS division.
+ Use Banner to create schedule of classes each semester for courses in the LSPS division.
+ Establish and maintain electronic and general filing systems.
+ Perform routine typing, word processing, and electronic data management tasks.
+ Utilize Excel to build and run reports.
+ Perform and complete tasks and assignments associated with personnel support functions for assigned organizational unit or program (purchase orders, travel arrangements, expense statements, etc.).
+ Complete complex processing of documents and/or transaction for assigned organizational unites, program, and/or specialized function/activity.
+ Conduct research using a variety of sources to complete, prepare, assemble, process and/or generate reports and other documentation, or to respond to inquiries, questions, or requests.
+ Monitor use of and maintains supplies, equipment, and/or facilities for assigned work unit or program area.
+ Operate workroom machines, such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, shredders, etc.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Business Administrative Technology *and* One (1) year of work-related experience *OR* High school diploma *and* Two (2) years related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Three (3) years of work experience within the last five (5) years AND an Associate’s degree.
+ One (1) year work experience within the last two (2) years AND a Bachelor’s degree.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Word and Excel.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat application.
+ Strong customer service skills.
