    Key Responsibilities:

    Deliver High-Quality, Student-Centered Instruction

     

    + Teach assigned classes in alignment with established policies, guidelines, and the approved course syllabus.

    + Prepare, adapt, and utilize instructional materials, equipment, and technology to enhance learning.

    + Provide individual and group instruction, modifying methods as needed to support diverse learning needs.

    + Implement and evaluate innovative instructional technologies to strengthen student engagement.

     

    Assess and Support Student Learning

     

    + Evaluate student progress through written, oral, practical, and performance-based assessments.

    + Ensure alignment between course content, instruction, and evaluation methods.

    + Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on academic performance.

    + Maintain classroom and laboratory discipline while supervising all student activities.

     

    Contribute to Program Development and Professional Growth

     

    + Collaborate with the Program Director, advisory committee, and administration to update curriculum and align with industry needs.

    + Recommend and assist with curriculum revisions and program improvements.

    + Stay current with advancements in the field and integrate new knowledge into teaching practice.

    + Participate in scheduled meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.

    What We're Looking For:

    •At least2 years of experience with QuickBooks software.

    •At least2 years of experience in the field-specific to business/technology preferred.

    • Appropriate degree, certifications, or experience to effectively instruct Business & Computer classes or work experience related to instruction

    • Strong familiarity with student training needs and achieving learning outcomes

    • Knowledge and/or familiarity with adult learning methodology

    • Ability to adapt to a variety of teaching methodologies including lectures, group activities, individual instruction, distance learning, and teaching with technology

    • Proficiency in usage of internet, email, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications

    Additional Instructions for Applicants:

    *The Industry Teacher – Business and Computers (QuickBooks) will teach evening courses to non-degree seeking students in QuickBooks Online Plus software typically three-hour sessions, two nights a week, over the course of 3 - 4 weeks.

    ** Successful candidates are required to reside in Idaho by the first day of work for the College of Western Idaho.
