    JOB SUMMARY

    The Wellness Center Class Instructor provides high-quality group exercise instruction to members and guests of the Blessing Wellness Center on a contracted basis. Instructors are responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and motivating environment that supports participants of all fitness levels in achieving their health and wellness goals.

     

    This role is contracted per class session and is expected to deliver professional instruction, promote member engagement, and reflect the mission of Blessing Health System to improve the health of our communities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Plan, prepare, and deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable group exercise classes (e.g., strength training, yoga, cycling, Pilates, cardio).

    + Provide clear instruction, proper exercise demonstration, and appropriate modifications for participants of varying abilities.

    + Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled classes, maintaining a professional and engaging presence.

    + Ensure the safety of participants by enforcing facility policies and monitoring proper equipment use.

    + Foster a welcoming environment that encourages member participation, retention, and satisfaction.

    + Represent Blessing Wellness Center positively by modeling healthy lifestyle practices and professionalism.

    + Communicate promptly with the Wellness Center Manager regarding scheduling, participant feedback, or concerns.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Training/Experience:

    REQUIRED:

    + Current group exercise or fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, Yoga Alliance, Les Mills, etc.) required.

    + CPR/AED certification required (or obtained within 30 days of contract).

    PREFERRED:

    + Prior experience instructing group fitness or wellness classes preferred.

    + Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse participants.

     

    Class schedule to be determined based on Wellness Center programming needs and instructor availability.

     

    This is a contract position; instructor is not an employee of Blessing Health System and is responsible for personal taxes, insurance, and certification maintenance.
