Job Title: Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting increased volume as we ramp up for the holiday season. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Unload incoming trucks and manage shipping and receiving flow.

+ Support high-volume trailer forecasting, expecting 21 trailers per day in the upcoming weeks.

+ Assist with ramp-up for holiday and related projects.

+ Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

+ Adhere to all instructions and safety protocols.

Essential Skills

+ Experience operating stand-up high reach and sit-down forklifts.

+ Ability to self-manage and work independently.

+ Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.

+ Proficient in speaking, writing, and communicating in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift Operation Expertise: Sit-down forklift, Crown stand-up high reach forklift, electric rider pallet jack.

+ Operations: Loading and unloading trailers, inventory movement and staging, RF scanner usage.

+ Safety & Compliance: Adherence to safety protocols, participation in hands-on certification.

+ Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stamina for high-volume environments.

+ Communication & Independence: Self-management, working independently, proficiency in Excel and basic math.

Work Environment

This facility is a dedicated distribution center with a template-controlled temperature, ensuring a comfortable working climate. It is a large-scale warehouse with active operations and collaborative teams working across shifts. The site features a spacious parking lot with over 600 parking spaces available for contractors and staff. The current high volume due to the project and holiday ramp-up emphasizes the importance of efficiency and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tracy, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
