    Job Title: 2nd Shift Conversion Department Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Conversion Department Operator. In this role, you will be trained to operate equipment controls for loading and unloading rolls safely, as well as for the winding and rewinding of finished products. You will also prepare samples, print, and label finished products, ensuring high-quality production standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Check operating controls and safety of equipment before operation.

    + Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and report any damaged or missing materials to the supervisor.

    + Set up machines based on production orders.

    + Label and pack finished products as per work order instructions.

    + Review work orders and drawings, resolving any conflicts.

    + Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

    + Comply with OHSA safety standards during job duties.

    + Notify the supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.

    + Maintain lift cart certification.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.

    + Experience working with large parts or materials (4 ft +).

    + Good documentation skills.

    + Ability to understand oral and written instructions.

    + Capability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

    + Experience with an ERP or computer system for work order management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with film/paper/cardboard rewinding or converting machinery, bottling/food manufacturing machinery is a plus.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, drills, saws, etc., is advantageous.

    + Some Microsoft Office skills.

    + Good job tenure.

The focus areas include aerospace, wind energy, marine, automotive, printed circuit board, solar energy, and general FRP composites. The facility is equipped with modern technologies and requires adherence to safety standards.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
