    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to visually inspect and check plastic parts for quality assurance. The role involves rejecting and separating parts that do not meet standards due to defects such as quality, visual defects, color mismatches, burrs, chips, flashes, and cuts. Communication with the inspection supervisor is essential when parts fail to meet quality standards. The inspector will use fixed gauges to test products' radial, plug, or thickness and perform gauge inspections at a specified rate per hour. Training on gauge usage will be provided. Additionally, the inspector will pack parts and items into boxes, ensuring that packaging dividers prevent damage by considering the size, shape, and color of plastic parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Visually inspect and check plastic parts for quality assurance.

    + Reject and separate parts that do not meet quality standards due to defects.

    + Communicate with the inspection supervisor regarding quality issues.

    + Use fixed gauges to test products' radial, plug, or thickness.

    + Perform gauge inspections at a specified rate per hour.

    + Train on gauge usage.

    + Pack parts and items into boxes, ensuring protective packaging.

    + Lift up to 20 lbs as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in inspecting, counting, sorting, and verifying products.

    + Documenting work accurately.

    + Packing experience.

    + Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

    + Experience with machine operating and measuring.

    + Must have steel toes boots.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bilingual skills, particularly the ability to read and write in English, are a massive plus.

    + Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a smaller facility equipped with relatively newer and state-of-the-art machinery. It is a small plastic manufacturing shop with around 25 employees, fostering a warm and collaborative atmosphere. The facility can be slightly warmer due to the nature of plastic manufacturing. Steel toes boots are required, and the day shift runs from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BRIDGEVIEW, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
